Situated in the south-east of Oman and located close to the Sultanate’s major oil & gas and mining projects, the Port of Duqm is a joint-venture between Asyad and Consortium Antwerp Port.
Benefitting in a first phase from a 2,200-metre commercial quay and an 18-metre draft able to handle all vessels, Duqm is set to become a world-class, multipurpose commercial gateway and trans-shipment hub. he liquid bulk terminal, developed in the northern part of the port, consisting of 70ha of quay land as well as 7 berths is scheduled to start its operations in 2023.
The Port is now equipped with 17 (seventeen) berths, 3 (three) Single Point Moorings (SPM), 1 (one) Ro-Ro Jetty, a well-maintained Approach and Entrance Channel having 17.1 Meters minimum depth to handle a wide range of vessels up to maximum LOA of 300 Meters. Paradip Port has its own Railway System having a route length of about 7.4 Kms and track length of 84 Kms with 19 full rake length railway sidings and 6 half rake length railway sidings to handle rail borne traffic efficiency. The Port is equipped with 8 nos. of Harbor Mobile Cranes of 100T to handle bulk cargo in 4 berths.
Stevedoring- Balabel specialized in efficiently loading and unloading of various types of cargo, including containers, bulk goods, and project cargo. We have a skilled and experienced workforce that is adept at handling diverse commodities, ensuring the careful and timely movement of goods. We have a fleet of modern cranes, forklifts, and other specialized equipment, enabling them to handle cargo with precision and efficiency. The company ensures that their equipment is well-maintained, maximizing productivity and minimizing the risk of disruptions.
Skilled Operators & Technicians- Such as Tally Clerk, Signal Workmen, Forklift Operator, HMC Operator, HMC Mechanic, Shore Crane Operator, Operating of HMC (Diesel /Electric crane) loading & unloading of Steel scrap material with Orange peel grab/Hook, Steel Cargo stacking at defined location, Steel Round, Rebar, Coil, Project Cargo etc. loading/Unloading into/from ships, Loading/unloading of HBI/Fines & Unloading of CDRI/Other Metallic.
